Paul Grogan leaves Hertfordshire - Club has a new committee

So who are you? We're a Games Club in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. We meet regularly to play a wide variety of games:

  • Collectible Card Games (Magic: The Gathering)
  • Role-Playing Games (AD&D, Vampire, Star Wars, etc.)
  • Board Games (Puerto Rico, Caylus, Powergrid, Ra etc.)
  • Card Games (6 Nimmt, Bohnanza, etc.)
  • Where?

We rent out the Cellar Bar in the Old Town Hall on High Street, Hemel Hempstead - just off Queensway (map). The venue creates an excellent atmosphere for a games group of our size (typically thirty). The venue is no-smoking but there is a designated smoking area. The bar isn't staffed so if you want to drink then bring your own - there's an off licence on the High Street less than 50 yards from the entrance to the Old Town Hall. Parking can be found just off the High Street and slightly further up from the Old Town Hall and church.

    When?

We meet at 7.30pm every Tuesday night. Board games normally start at 8pm and we play until 11pm.

    Does it cost anything?

A first-time visit is free, but in subsequent weeks we ask each member for an entry fee of £2.00 per week. This revenue pays for the weekly rent, with any surplus being saved to provide a bi-annual raffle (in summer and at christmas, funds permitting).

    Who's in charge?

We have elected a committee to see to all the organisational duties of the club. The comittee consists of:
